The well is meant to symbolize the meeting place of the city's founders. It is associated with a legend. It is a historic well, and it is known to have existed already in the 15th century in the gardens of the Dominican monastery, later transferred to the city. The iron gazebo was erected in the 19th century. Inside the gazebo, there is an inscription in Polish, Latin, and German about the meeting of three brothers in the year 810. The German inscription was later replaced by a relief - an enlargement of the medal of Jan Raszka issued on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the legendary founder of the city.
