Originally, the post office was located in the left wing of the station building, which was expanded with wooden extensions for the needs of the post office during the First World War. The modern building of the Post and Telegraph Office in the style of nascent functionalism located next to the railway station was designed by the Prague architect Josef Zadražil and the building was built in 1930-1931. It was implemented by Joži Dvořák's company from Silesian Ostrava.
